Help! Random Function No Longer works With Ipod

Got my car serviced and now when I'm using the ipod adapter(most), when i hit random, it will select a random song, but each successive song is sequential. Cd's work appropriately, any ideas. The only reason I got the ipod adapter was to use random mode, so this is quite disheartening.

Sounds like it could be another side effect of the lastest progman update. Does your service sheet show that they updated software? You should report it to your SA.

Please explain in greater detail. When you say sequential, is that with or without manual intervention.

Also, it worked correctly in your view prior to the service? What was serviced?

Hi,
It just goes to the next track automatically. I know that the skip buttons do that, but this happens if you just let it play. The service was just oil and one year service. Sheet doesn't mention progman update. Worked fine prior to service.

I've seen this happen occasionally with mine but usually it is random.

Try fully resetting the iPod and see what happens. It's only a guess but...

Mine does that too. I haven't been able to get it to play songs in a random order.

mine as well and i am running Progman 25.1. i wonder if it has to do with that.
