Cargo net...

hello;

Quick Q. I have an E90 335Xi 2011. I bought a trunk floor cargo net. BUT I can't seem to find any hooks to attach it to! There's nothing on the floor of the trunk to hook it. Any help fellas??

Cheers.

The mounting points are not included in US cars. Does yours hook in 4 corners or more spots than that.

BTW if your dealer sold you that part, you might be able to convince them to install the mounting points.

How much do the mounting points cost and can we simple install them ourselves?

They included them in MY2006-09 and removed them, along with some other really useful items in MY2010.

If the cargo net thing doesn't work out, get your self a bungee cord set (ie. 30 cords for less than 30 bucks), and works leaps and bounds better than a net with the existing hooks around the trunk.

All the hooking points are present in my 09' - must have been deleted in later years as a 'cost savings' idea

Front hook points are incorporated into either end of the rear plastic piece that runs along the rear of the trunk opening right above the bumper.

Rear hook points have recessed hooks that pop out - they are mounted to the bottom of the trunk side trim panels back by the rear seat.

I know the rear hook points can be purchased seperately, cut hole in trim panel, bolt to car (apparently the threaded holes still exist behind panel) as there was another thread where a member added them to his car...

are behind the trunk trims. I replaced my interior trunk trims with the euro versions (approx 60 each) and added the trunk mounting hardware (4 pieces per side). Its very easy. Maybe not as easy if you want to cut your existing trims

Part numbers would be great. I just got my msport 335 and never even thought they would remove them. I was quite suprised when I went to install my cargo net. I have had 4 BMW and all came with anchor points. It a new world we live in

Don't know how the E90 is on the interior, but on my E92, I had a special set up. Since I traded it in, I don't need it. Still for sale if you're interested:

Reference parts 9, 10, 11 & 13

You will also need to cut your left and right trims, or order the ones with the holes (S418=yes)

i got the trim with holes. I think you could cut them if you were very careful and patient and used the right (sharp) tools

I just noticed i have the 4 hooks in the trunk (02/2010 model), but the dealer was kind enough to sell me the car without most of the accessories (cargo net, ski sack, some tools from the toolkit etc).
I saw that the cargo net is quite pricey, at 100$. How much did you guys pay for it?
