Who here is still waiting for their E90 to be built ?

Just wondering how many members are waiting for their E90 to be built.

German production has stopped but the Rosslyn plant in South Africa are still producing around 330 cars a day ( most for USA ) till end December 2011

I wonder who go the last German E90 and what model it was.
And who will get the last E90 ever and what model it will be

I just ordered a 2011 328xi yesterday (Saturday, Nov. 5). My dealership traded their one 6MT to a dealership in Boston who had a 6MT on order. They were able to change the exterior and interior color and add satellite radio. It is 'Priority 1' (whatever that means) built in South Africa and it should arrive by New Years. My (first) son is due the day after Christmas so it'll be interesting to see who arrives first. Knowing my luck they'll both arrive on the same day...in the middle of a snow storm!

328xi with 6MT
Tasman Green with Saddle Brown
moonroof
heated seats and steering wheel
split folding rear seat
satellite radio and iPod control

We were insistent on a 6MT which really restricted the availability. I know it'll be worth the wait.

Priority 1 means the vehicle is already sold...as apposed to mass produced common options and features and colors etc that fill dealer inventory

your color choice didn't help availability either lol
it takes special taste to like the Tasman Green, but i know for a fact that those who've acquired the taste love that color
i'm not one of those people

They had one Tasman Green, one Vermillion Red and a few Deep Sea Blue (all automatics) and the rest were black, silver/gray and white. We've already had black cars and silver cars and it was time for something different. This color really caught our eye. Plus, I think it's going to look amazing with the saddle brown interior.

But...I don't expect anyone else to agree with our choices.

Nice
Quite a long train journey from the factory to the port for the car ( Over 350 miles (560km) straight line distance). Then a long boat journey around the tip of Africa before heading up the Atlantic to the USA.

Would make a interesting documentary on how it gets from the factory here to the customer in the USA.

Only the most discerning choose Tasman, AND with the proper transmission!

Now if it was only the rarest (in the US) and most useful version of the E9X...

A wagon (sorry...Touring) would have been great but that was even harder to find than what we ended up with. It's a lease so maybe in three years we'll go for the wagon, I've always been partial to them. Is there more headroom in the backseat of the wagon then there is in the sedan?

I have the last E90 built in Germany.

(this is based on no actual evidence other than seeing that someone else who ordered an E90 had theirs built in SA aprox. 5 days after mine was built in Germany)

Yes, and it is MUCH easier to get in and out of due to the much squarer door opening. I do wish they had sacrificed a bit of style for a more traditional and roofline though - there is NOT a lot of cargo space due to the swoopy roof. But still much better than the sedan!

Manual wagons are unicorns, hence my ordering mine. Only RWD manual E91 my dealer has ever sold, in fact.

Mine finished production yesterday, and is waiting for a carrier to take it to port. SA build, of course, since that's all that's left.

E90 335i xdrive, Tasman Green, Dakota Beige, 6MT, sport, H-K, cold weather, nav.

The waiting is the hardest part... TP & the HBs

Newbie here.

I just ordered mine last month. I can't wait until it arrives. It should be here before Christmas. Hopefully sooner.

Nothing too fancy.
