Finally picked up our car...

Our brand new 2011 335i Sedan.

Options-
M-sport with 193m rims
Le Mans Blue
6 speed manual
premium package
black leather
aluminum trim
Logic 7 sound system
split/fold rear seats
performace package

After placing our order a few months ago it was finally delivered last night. I wish I had some pictures but it was too dark by the time we got home (and I was too lazy, lol). I'll post some pics tonight after work.

From what I was told there were only a couple of 335s ordered through the military car sales system with the performance pack. I know that doesnt really matter, I just think it's a neat fact about the car.

We have a trip planned for Germany next weekend, and hopefully another trip over Thanksgiving (location hasnt been decided upon yet). I want to break it in quickly so that I can really test it our before we head back to the States in January. Munich is only 4-5 hours away

Welcome to the forums, grats' on the car, and I'm sure you'll have fun "testing" it out in Germany.

My wife is military but I work at a college on base. My wife just got back from a deployment and that helped put a little bit of money towards the car. What really helped (unfortunately) was the fact that I totaled my 2005 GTO. I had a lot of money in that car and insurance paid me pretty good. I got to keep the car and sell A LOT off of it, including the shell with motor and trans.

After all that was said and done we put a LARGE down payment on top of a military discount, which is sales tax free. In the end we have a $330 a month payment for 5 years.

BTW, before someone says it I know the plate is blocking the intercooler. Thing is, I'm required to have a front plate here in Italy but we leave in 2 months and our next base doesnt require one. I dont want to drill or run a screw into the front bumper just to have the holes plugged in 2 months.

Funny how things work, but worked out well! Congrats on the car!

Mad respect for your/your wife's occupation!

Very nice, I have one just like it although its auto. The Le mans blue is probably one of the nicest blues I've ever seen on a car.

Beautiful car. Follow the instructions in the manual for the break-in period. We don't want your next post with pics on here to have you on the side of the ride. Love your car!!!

Just wanted to post this pic up before the rims get taken off. They are 19" Beyern Rapps. I'm running Michelin Pilot Super Sports on them right now and the car rides/handles great. They will be coming off within the next few days and the stock 193Ms will be going back on, but with winter tires on them. We are going to Germany next weekend, and will more than likely be headed up there for Thanksgiving too, to I need to have a good set of winter tires on the car. Anyways, here is the pic...

It's all about financial management. I am not that high of rank in the military but with careful spending and planning, anyone can afford one. Just my opinion. Of course I came into the military at the age of 25 and already was a homeowner, so having experience in life helps.

Great looking car! I am also in the military and bought a BMW awhile back when I was stationed in Germany. Be cautioned, what ever state you register your car in, you might have to pay the sales tax. I got stationed in Louisiana and they wanted like over $2000.00 in sales tax. To beat this I took it to Texas and registered my car for a lot less.

Dont you need to know someone there to register it in Texas? If not, then I'll do that. Doing some basic math, I will be paying close to $4k to register the car in LA.
