Halogen to xenon
hey guys im new to this headlight stuff so i got some questions to ask .
first, i drive 06 325i with halogen and wanting to convert to xenon so i ordered pairs of xenon but i was wondering in order to do that what do i need to do?? (btw they are adaptive steering which it moves along with your steering wheel?) also it doesnt come with ballast or bulb so i want to buy aftermarket ones because oem cost toooooo much!! my biggest question is 1) if i buy aftermarket hids will the adaptive steering still work? 2)do i need to code to reprogram the xenon? (i have the cable and software for coding so not big deal) 3)i know oem takes d1s but couldnt find d1s for aftermarket instead i see bunch of h7 and h11 i mean will it fit? and will it be ok to use h11? i really need some answers so please help me out here! THANK YOU!!!!!! |

you will have to code your car for the xenons... check the CODING section for more info; i think it's been done before.
not sure about the HIDs... i can't imagine why they wouldn't work though. As for bulbs, i'm certain H7/H8 wont work with Xenon's... if you're gonna do the HID thing anyway, wouldn't the bulb type change? |
