Zzzzz.... 5 more Min. mom....

Seems the NE forum is pretty dead... Seems all the activity is to the south or in CA.

Now that its nice out, I think it's time to take the Harley to work and keep the Bimmer at home...

Anybody going to the May 24th driving event at NHIS?

This will be my first big track driving event, and I'm super excited.

I talked to my good friend, who is a long-time instructor and will be teaching at the May 24th event. He said that the club has determined that, since they don't offer the Advanced Driving Skills class often enough, they can't FORCE people to take it as a prerequisite. I haven't taken it either, and I've been accepted into the May 24th event. If you've done Autocross before, just put that in under the previous experience section...that should put you in pretty good stead.

And remember...novices get $100 off the sign-up!

Here's the link.

http://www.boston-bmwcca.org/events/...px?EventID=316

You have to pre-register and get accepted into the class before you can attend. How many folks get accepted depends on how many instructors they can round up. But, they're always looking for new blood...hence the big discount for novices.

Yay! Hopefully, you'll get accepted. I think it'd be a lot of fun to get to meet a few more folks from here.

If you need a helmet, HMS Motorsports in Peabody and F1 Boston both have helmets. I'll be heading out to check them both out this weekend.

Looks like I am accepted. I have M helmet that hopefully will meet spec. I will need to read the rules to make sure.

Just a heads up.
I am out of town for next 3 weekends (till 06/09).

Judging from the pace (of fixing a meet), I believe, I should be all set.

I hope, I don't miss it.

I think you're all set. At this pace, you could probably leave for a year or so and this forum wouldn't notice..
