Dinan Tuning not warrentened by BMW?

So today I went to my local BMW dealer (BMW of Tulsa) to talk to them about their Dinan products. They are the local Dinan installers, and I wanted to see about the Stage 1 tune for my fathers 35is. The rep was honest enough to tell me they do not install any Dinan ECU tunes on turbo powered cars. HE went on to tell me that BMW doesnt warrenty the Dinan
tunes on turbo cars, because they had taken the limits to far and were causing a lot of broken parts that BMW did not want to fix, like diffs, axles, etc. Has anyone heard anything like this? I always thought the best part of the Dinan products was the warrenty that BMW honored.

Any Thoughts?

Thanks,

Jim

I'm in the market for an ECU upgrade and I too am confused about Dinan's warranty. Their warranty may be covering voided BMW warranty. In that case do you go through Dinan for all repair expenses?

The rep did say that Dinan's warrenty would cover the broked parts if BMW wouldn't. He also did say that Dinan was not the easiest to work with, as if they sometimes dont live up to their claims when it comes to warrentying things.

BMW and Dinan parted last year so now it is correct they do not support tunes

previously dinan would warranty engine and tuning parts
