We're meeting at Amicalola State Park on Saturday the 26th of May @11-12. The location for the meet will be at the entrance or just past it. Start PMing each other your phone numbers so we don't get lost.

It doesn't matter to me too much. I'm racing in the local prokarting league this summer so my saturday mornings are kinda booked up. But we can start throwing out some dates and see what works for everyone.

As long as it is on a weekend, I am usually free. Mid to end of May sounds like a reasonable timeframe, before it gets really warm around here.

North side of Atlanta, but not too far if done on a weekend. There are picnic areas, but they are first come/first serve basis unless rented for the day. rentals run about $30, which is no big deal, just have to reserve ahead of time.

The above link does provide links to other State Parks, ya'll look around and come up with something that is agreeable to as many as possible and we will make this happen.

About how far is this from Tuscaloosa? I'll be there in about a week for a while. My brother has been trying to get me to take the Z to the Atlanta Speedway for a while, but this might be good as well!

That sounds like a good location to me. How about dates? I have May 26th open as well as June 16th. My Saturday mornings are booked up with the summer kart racing season. All my Sundays are open. I can bring a gas grill, but that's all I'll be able to fit in the trunk. I can start a "What ya bringing?" list in the first post. Once we get a date set, we should cross post this to the other boards. Maybe we can drag in some other members. I added the link to my signature. Hopefully we can draw more people in to help us plan this as well.

May 26 or 27 would work fine for me. I can bring burgers/dogs if that is the menu of the day. I also make a killer Red Beans 'n Rice if anyone is brave enough (or their significant others don't mind the after effects).

Yea let's shoot for that weekend. I have off on the 28th for Memorial day anyways. You guys pick, Saturday or Sunday? Once we get a date set we really need to get the word out to the other Z forums, so we can get a nice sized group up there.

I just got back from mutual-aid for a county here in GA who had an awful tire company fire...probably arson...anyway, I'm pooped. Going to take a shower right quick. I can't find anyone to take my place yet. Still trying...be back in a few..

Once we get a firm day, I will call and try to get one of the picnic areas reserved for us. It is a first come/first serve basis if not reserved and there does not appear to be much going on that weekend, but why take chances.

Next up what kind of menu is everyone looking to have?
