19" style 230's. Should I get the tire insurance???

After doing a search and seeing how many members are bending their rims on northeast roads, I am wondering if I should reconsider and get the tire and rim insurance? I believe they want 2500 for it, but I am not sure because I didn't think I needed it at the time.

I do know that you can negotiate the price. So if members do recommend the insurance, examples of what they paid in the north east area would be very helpful. Also any info on the number of years the insurance is for would be helpful.

As I understand the insurance will replace damaged tires regardless of tread life. I just want to make sure I don't get half the value of the tire if there is only half the tread remaining at the time of the damage.

Thanks In advance.

$2500 is absurd! I paid $800 for my rim/tire warranty and it also covers aftermarket rims/tires up to $1000 per wheel.

The 2500 could easily be 1500 I really don't remember the price.
