Sportsline CS.16 Wheel pics or review?

Im sure a lot of yall have seen the new wheels offered by **********s, the Sportsline CS.16. If not, they are a flow-formed CSL rep that look similar to the alufelgen CS-7. The major difference is the fact that they are flow-formed rather than low pressure cast resulting in a stronger/lighter wheel...

Anyway they offer in only one color (hyper silver) but offer 18" and 19" sizes...

I was hoping someone in this forum had purchased and has some insight or opinions, and most importantly some pics! Even if you don't have them I would appreciate your views.

Thanks!

If I didn't just buy a new set of Morrs I'd be all over these. They only weigh 22-23 lbs and are very inexpensive. Seems like the use the same form flow proccess that BBS uses on the CH-R's. My only complaints; they are not very concave and only come in 1 finish at the moment.

The Sportline CS16 wheels are great as they are both light weight and strong. Not to mention that they they do feature a timeless design. As some of you have already mentioned, the wheels are also rotary forged aka flow form and are lighter than other cast wheels. They are comparable to the BBS CH/CH-R wheels and are the fraction of the cost as well. They are currently only available in silver finish that is powder coated as a standard. We can always have them custom powder coated for you guys as well and they'll still be cheaper than other rotary forged/flow form wheels!

The wheels are new and there aren't many installed pictures on cars at the moment. The Sportline CS16 wheels actually equally concave if not more when compared to other CSL style wheels in the market. Here are a few comparison shots for those of you who haven't seen them yet. Enjoy guys

damn, 5 lb. difference with the VMRs?? thats a pretty decent cut in weight especially for wheels!

however, just my opinion, but among all the CSL reps, aesthetically i like the vb3's the best because the spokes are way thinner.

It all has to do with how the wheels are constructed as it does affect the weight and strength of wheels. With that being said, for every 1lb you save in unsprugn weight it actually equals to about 10 lbs in actual weight saved. A difference of 5lbs in unsprug weight actually means that you'll be saving nearly 50 lbs per corner. I’m sure your know how heavy your car feels with 2-3 passengers and this is the type of weight savings were talking about here.

In terms of spoke thickness, it all comes down to personal choice. If you're talking about authenticity, the OEM ZCP ("CSL") wheel does feature the wider spoke design as well just like the Sportline CS16 setup.

Both wheels are great choices and all in all it comes down to which style you like best

Why are the offsets so wrong for e90s? 44 is way too high and 22 is way too low. I would grab a set of these if they came in a 33-35 offset.

would 19x8.5 ET35 front, and 19x9.5 ET45 work for a lowered E92 coupe? Like Combatninja stated, I'd like to see a ET35 for the front with ET33 for the rear.

The Sportline CS16 wheels are currently only available in the following fitments:

18x8.5 ET35
18x9.5 ET22
18x9.5 ET45

19x8.5 ET35
19x9.5 ET22
19x9.5 ET45

This setup can most definitely still work on both the E90/E91/E92/E93.
19x9.5 ET45 - (10mm spacer) making it an ET35
19x9.5 ET22 (aggressive w/ a fender roll)

If the demand is there, Sportline is willing to bring the ET33 or ET35 in the next batch. This will require at least 10 people to make this happen.

i am interested in the ET35 also. something about buying spacers for a new set of wheels doesn't excite me... especially when the goal is to reduce unsprung weight as much as possible.

9.5 et22 is perfect for a pre lci e90, my prev 06 325 had 18x9.5 et32 with 12.5mm spacers on eibach sportlines with no rubbing what so ever.

Sportline said they would make the next batch with the rear offset ET33 (9.5" wide) if they could get enough support. If you are interested let them hear it.

Interest List for the ET33 rear offset! Put your name down...

1.) Stucks
2.) Prissy
3.) Imperial Sloth

So they look great, they're lightweight, and the price isn't bad at all. Yup, I know what my next mod will be as soon as I have the cash!
