1st post. New E90 owner. Question about chimes...

Hi all,

I've had my 2006 330i Sparkling Metallic Graphite for almost 2 months now, loving it. I'm still at that point where I get out of my car and keep looking back to check it out again bc it is so pretty. I've already used the DIY section for installing Weisslicht LED angel eyes = awesome.

Anyway, I have a question about enabling and disabling the chimes my car makes.

1) I cannot stand the "no key fob in the ignition" chime that beeps at me incessantly until I get out of my car. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. I can't take it anymore. How do I stop this?

2) Also, I would for it to chime at me if I leave my lights on after I turn off my car. I usually run the lights on auto, however, if I switch over sometimes I forget. Can I enable a chime for this??

Search Coding or check out the Coding section on the forums. You can disable those chimes, and do many other great things, with some simple coding.

Thanks for the info. I did try to look up this issue in the forum and could not find that information, nor on google. I am new to BMW and while I am tech savvy, I have not taught myself about coding yet. I guess I'll have to learn that next. Is there a specific code for this or is this something once I've learned how to do I can figure out myself?

Also, I'm not sure what use a picture would have as I am talking about wanted/unwanted sounds.

The headlight one is easy, if you want to turn your headlights on during the day just press the foglight button with the switch in auto. They will shut off with the ignition.
