Which rim is stronger? Advan RS-D or Avant Garde m335?
I don't know if the model changes at all based on brand. Which of these 2 are better? Does one make a stronger rim than the other in general? Two different types of rim? I don't know much about rims so I'm clueless. I just like the style of each and am wondering which is better for my daily driver.

One is the real deal and the other is a replica. One is $700 a rim and the other is $200 a rim. Is this really a serious question? Search Forged vs Cast. For daily driving you are probably better off with the least expensive of the 2, unless you have disposable cash. If you are into name brands (like clothing lines) or want to track the car and not have a seperate set of track wheels, the Advan's are a great option. My opinion, don't skimp out on shoes....like your own feet rims and tires are one of the mods that will make the most impact on your car. Ask yourself this, would you wear cheap generic running shoes for a marathon or a good set of Brooks or Asics? Check out **********s, I believe they carry both brands and have great prices.

The Advan is a flow formed wheel which has similar properties to a forged wheel and the Avant Garde are low pressure cast.
Avant Garde arent bad wheels, they are a step ahead of gravity cast wheels which are really at the lower end of the totem pole, but Advans are in a league far superior to Avant Garde imho.

The advan is a stronger lighter wheel due to a flow formed manufacturing, but the avant garde is no slouch, they are low pressure cast with a good load rating and are pretty light. And cost effective.
A lot of companies that make multi piece forged wheels, still use a low pressure cast centers and forged barrels. Gravity cast would be below low pressure cast, in terms of quality and weight. |

The ADVAN RS-D wheels are stronger and lighter compared to the Avant Garde lineup due to their different casting methods. With that being said, it really comes down to what you're looking to do with the car. If you're focused on performance then yes, the ADVAN RS-D may be the better setup for you. They do also cost significantly more compared to the Avant Garde wheels. The Avant Garde wheels are low pressure cast which does utilize the same manufacturing process as OEM wheels. It's definitely easier on the pocket and there are plenty of guys running the Avant Garde setups on their cars!!

I am currently looking @ RS-D's for me... 18's and NOT 19's. I'll be stuffing 10's though, lowered on H&R's fenders already rolled. 18's give function, weight reduction and performance..... 19's look fantastic, but reduce performance (lower sidewall, break traction easier, worse ride)
