Haha, something tells me the Auid was not all out when the M3 passed it. The R8 will be faster than the M3 in all regards, all the time.

While I plan on buying the new M3, let's not get confused about what it is and what it isn't. What it isn't is faster than the R8

Edmunds sucks at making videos. No production value whatsoever. Even worse, I must have watched the Buick commercial 15 times before the M3 video finally played, then it played for about 10 seconds and froze.

Edmunds should hire ME to "make TV" for them

I guess I'll go look on Youtube..........

That R8 was definitely going slower..........maybe it was about to catch fire
like the R8 that did 2 weeks ago testing there!................

The R8 is a hot car but a little out of my price range......

The M3 in the video looks like Ilagos Blu w/Bamboo beige interior.........

The R8 will be dead even with the M3. It will weigh about 50-100 lbs less than the M3, but has the driveline loss of AWD.

I personally think the R8 is way overpriced. I'd take a Porsche GT3 in a heartbeat!

I think Edmunds got the math wrong on the M3's weight. In the article they claim it will weigh 234 lbs more than the E46 M3. Everyone has already discussed the fact this weight includes a 75 kg driver and some baggage.

The new M3 will weigh under 3500 lbs (base curb weight) vs I believe 3415 for the E46 M3.

Never mind the weight of the car. The driver can make the car weight a pound of feathers at the end but what i really care about is the torque and how well it performs at 100mph + over yea baby.....................
