OEM Tire Service Description - 90Y or 90W? (335i Sport Package)

Does anyone know the "service description" for the OEM 2007 335i sport package tires, 90W (168mph) or 90Y (186mph)?

I am trying to replace my 255 35 zr 18 rear tires and I want to make sure I buy the correct tire.

For instance, the RF Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP tire is are available in a 90y or 90w, with the latter being slightly less expensive.

Thanks!

What rating and manufacturer is on your front tire? it's always best to match tire manufacturer/tire line to get consistent perfromance.

If it's a Bridgestone, it's most likely W rated.

I have Michelin PS2s on the front, with a 90Y rating, but I was hoping to save some money by not having to buy the more expensive tire.

And if the Bridgestones are 90W in an OEM tire, why shouldn't I use a Michelin with a 90W rating?

Hmmmm.

If it helps any my RF Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP tires on my 2011 328i sport package where 90W rated. It was actually a special order to get a replacement after a pothole ate one. The funny thing was that the 90Y was in stock but the 90W was still cheaper even after the special order. Since I was only replacing one I wanted to make sure it matched.
