Noob Needs Help With Rim and Tire Suggestion for Recently bought E90
Hi Guys,
Recently bought a used 2009 328i (crimson red) without the sports package. I wanted to upgrade my rim and wheels. I don't have tire insurance so I'm thinking about getting regular tires to replace my run flats. A few questions: 1) You guys know which type of rims I should get? Looks vs performance considerations? 2) What size should I look for? 3) Any tire suggestions? I live in Houston so I don't drive in extreme weather much. Thanks for the help guys! -David |

regarding performance, you should benefit from a weight reduction, going from runflat to non-runflat.
if you can, try not to gain that weight back when you pick new wheels. Or even better, lose some weight with the wheels. This is a little tricky as good forged lightweight wheels cost money.... check out **********s.com wheel selection, nice selection, plenty of pictures and you will get some idea of cost. .....and sorry forgot our sponsor here, Tirerack also has a decent selection with a tool to visualize the wheels on the car of your choice. |

I am a big fan of the Avant Garde M359 wheels. They are offered in either matte black or silver finish. The Hankook Ventus V12's are a pretty popular tire and probably the best bang for the buck as far as performance and pricing is concerned. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions.
