Auto Transmission- Park and Reverse Clunk sound

It seems like when I go from Park to Reverse sometimes i hear a clunk sound and its more stiffer to move even with my legs pushing the brakes down. What could this be? My friend said it's normal and happens to a lot of people.

Normal. Does this on my e90 and did it on my e46 as well. IMO, it is pretty annoying although...

Noticed this last night getting into my driveway. There's another thread on this too.

1. use your e-brake more often, even on the slightest hill
2. the brake feeling is probably narrowed down to your brakes themselves, get an inspection

You can take your pads out and separate the clips more so there is more tension when you re-install them.

Also, if you ever had your rear rotors changed (especially at an indy or other than the dealership), check the parking brake shoes. They are suppose to be adjusted after changing the rear rotors.....most people don't do it.
