My gas mileage has improved....why
So, for the first 30,000 miles my 2009 335 averaged 21.9 mpg on the cars computer. No matter how often I reset the counter, no matter how I drove, eventually it leveled out at 21.9. After my 30,000 miles service my mileage has continued to improve. 22.4, 22.6, and now 22.8. I've reset the computer a few times, and now I am leveling out at almost a mpg above the first 30,000 miles.
Do you suppose the dealership did some software update that has resulted in better mileage? Anyone else experiencing this? I'm not complaining....just curious. I'm unaware of other changes in driving habits or vehicle configuration that could be causing this. |

Not really a worthwhile discussion unless you calculated it the old fashion way, because we first need to eliminate the variable of the sensor inaccuracies.
