Sell Style 194 or BBS RD308 - what makes more sense?
Hi guys,
this summer, I bought new rims for my car. This leaves me with 2 sets of wheels: 1) OEM M-Sport summer setup, Style 194 with Bridgestone Potenza RFT 2) BBS RD308 with 225/45 Dunlop M3s all round - my winter setup I am trying to sell the 194s with no avail. I would like to get around $1000 for them, but no one is really interested (they are, but when it comes to pay, everyone backs out). So I'm thinking, how about keeping the OEM wheels, and installing my winter tires on them? The BBS wheels cost me approx. $700. I think I could sell them for around $300 without major issues. I could probably sell the Bridgestone tires for around $100. I have to take into account that I will have to have the winter tires remounted on the OEM rims, which will cost around $60. Total = $340 New style 194s cost around $2000 I'm guessing. I can sell them for $500 without any major issues. The thing is, it always seems better to sell the OEM rims, because I didn't pay for them directly. On the other hand, they were part of the M package, so I did pay for them. Sooooo.... what should I do? Sell the OEM 194s or the BBS wheels? Thanks. |
