Adaptive headlight and turning left

When I turn right, the headlights are turning right. When I turn left, the headlights do not move, they stay center.

If I remember correctly, my headlights used to move in both directions. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance

If I remember correctly the movement to the left is a lot less then the right, that way you do not blind on coming traffic.

+1 but you should still be able to see the light turn a bit with the wheel.

Thanks
I will try turning the wheel further to the left to see if there is some movement.

I love driving around neighborhoods all slow and quickly turning the steering wheel right to left just to watch the lights move.

Is it just one or both headlights?

It is for both headlights. I am just back from travelling (by air). I have yet to test the theory that the headlights movement to the left is only when the car is moving.

Idk if I'll be any help then but I and several others on here have had issues like that with one headlight, and its because of a little ball and socket joint that holds the portion of headlight that moves has popped out of place. I doubt that both simultaneously came out though, but here's the diy:

if you find the "theory" is wrong have BMW correct the manual.

Page 86 http://www.e90fanatics.com/pdf/E90_OwnersManual.pdf
"To avoid dazzling the drivers of oncoming vehicles, Adaptive Head Light is not active when the car is driven in reverse, and directs the light to the front passenger's side when the vehicle is at a standstill."

OK, so I came across this problem the other day and was wondering if it's normal as well. When my car is stopped and I turn right, I see the headlight turn right, but when I turn left, it moves a little to the left, but no where near the same amount. This is normal, correct?

Yeah, that answers it. I was kind of confused with the statement due to it's somewhat awkward sentence structure, but I got it now after reading it a few times lol. Thanks
