Stop Talking and Do IT!

Stop saying you're going to hit the track and just do it!

Lame gtg's meeting in parking lots, no thanks. Most fun way to meet other owners and enthusiasts is on the track. I've met few guys from 1addicts and BFC but none from zpost... so who's down for the remaining events in our area? I'll be at the Glen and first day at Lightning with CCA.

NASA NE - Lime Rock 9/23-24
NASA NE - Watkins Glen 10/1-2

NJ CCA - NJMP Lightning 10/16-17

PCA Schattenbaum - NJMP Thunderbolt 10/20-21

There may be others I'm missing but this seems about it. I know Trackdaze is down at VIR but doubt anyone would do that drive from tri-state. And if you've never been on the track, I'd highly recommend the CCA Ligntning event since they'll have a special group just for first timers.

I currently have been on travel up here in CT since the end of Aug, and have to stay until Nov. This has seriously cut into my track time. I plan on doing a two day VIR stint the weekend after Thanksgiving...

I did VIR in July... it was an absolute blast, I just don't know if I can do that drive again! And it's even further for you being in CT... that's dedication, ha.

icic... I did that drive from NJ and it took a solid 8.5 hrs. Seems like DC traffic is inevitable no matter what time it is. I tried planning accordingly so that I would not be at DC during rush hour but still...

I think the furthest I'll drive going forward is Summit, which is about 4.5 hrs from me.

We also have NCCAR which is only 1.5hours away. Not a racetrack persea, it is a vehicle dynamics testing track so it is very, very technical.... It is 18miles south of the VA/NC border on I95, in Ronoake Rapids. If you really want to learn how to listen to your car, this is the track to do it.

It's been a crazy summer, but I'm hoping to get one more session in.
I definitely want to get to the Glen at some point.

Awesome, I'll see you then!

Where you planning on staying for the event? I will most likely stay in Vineland NJ at the Wingate hotel.

I found out NJ CCA got a special rate at the Fairfield Inn which is supposed to be the nicest hotel in the area. Others may be cheaper but apparently there's no comparison. Normal rate of $99/nt, mention BMW CCA of NJ and get it for $79/nt. You'll have to call to get this special rate:

Fairfield Inn & Suite
301 Bluebird Lane
Millville, NJ 08332
1-856-776-2400

FWIW....
We should look at planning a track event at someplace like the Glen next year,
where a bunch of us Canucks can get down & run with you guys.

November could be very dicey weather wise up here.
VIR would make more sense.
