Nice Purple Light

Ok, so I have a question. I'm not really into headlights so I'm having a hard time finding the correct bulb code. Before I order one online all pre 09's are H7 right?

The light that turned purple is my low beam (farthest away from grill). But when I look at an H7 install guide it looks like a standard bulb. These ones have a projector look to them similar to an HID.

I'm a headlight noob.

If your low beam turned purple I'm guessing you have xenons. My passenger side went pink when it started to go.

Our cars use a D1S bulb. Becareful though, some have been known to blow out your ballast.

ahhh... lucky I asked the guide above said all e90 sedan H7.

which bulbs do you guys recommend? Sylvania has some cheap ones, but I don't want to break the headlight. Phillips has a decent set.

I think tomorrow i'm going to switch the high beams to the lows so I have lights on the pass side. and then look into the phillips. I have read lots of horror story about cheap bulbs
