Anyone ever get seat belt and air bag light? CC-ID97

A few weeks ago i swapped steering wheel and shift knob with a member... everything is OEM and the style is even the same, i wanted to change out my worn wheel for something newer... long story short the car has been popping up airbag and seat belt error in RED. I had the car scanned and go CC-ID97 code. I did a little research and it's somet type of mat sensor??? i think he installed it right? i dk and he did disconnect the negative terminal while installing the wheels. Can someone please chim in. I also notice that my air bag sticks out a little big... i dk if i'm being paranoid or w/e can someone help me out??? ughhh
