What transmission fluid to use?

Not quite sure what transmission fluid to use guys, Its a manual 335i with the yellow sticker transmission. I contacted redline spoke with dave and told me to use D6 ATF, which is automatic fluid, any of you used this before. Any other recommendations?? Read some forums and people said redline is only for few thousand miles, is that true?? Royal purple??

I used Redline MTL in my E46 for way more than a few thousand miles! Now, I understand their recommendation has changed for the E90.
