IMO feels strongest right around 5500-6000 RPM, but up top it is plenty quick. Definitely not 8 psi happening up top.

I am sure I could have accelerated harder if I shifted at 6400 rpm or so, but I let the trans shift itself for the sake of testing.

what's your personal opinion on this stage 2 vs your old jb4? misfire problem aside. based purely driveability and power?

Never misfired on JB4, it honestly did not give me any problems. It was the Procede that caused me a lot of heartache on this car.

IMHO, if you're running meth stick with what you've got for now. You will be making an estimated 20-30 whp more power with your JB4+meth setup with enough boost.

Side note:

I did NOT run meth on this stage 2 run.

i meant timing problem. brain is fried from concert i just went to.

good to know. i'm leaning toward cobb in the future when meth is integrated, or if terry comes up with a standalone fsb that doesn't rely on the jb4

ah, I have logs, but admittedly I don't have Excel or know how to plot it on a graph. Just by looking at hard numbers in Google Docs, there are no timing issues. 3 degrees hitting 9.75 by redline, hits 5 degrees post-shift.

AFRs were 12.x across the board, touching 11.8 at certain points. IAT on that video run started around 106 and ended at 141. for a 2-3-4 pull, that's not bad. I had one timing dropout in cylinder 2, but other than that, stable across the board.

boost touched 17.8 psi but mostly 16ish tapering to 8... however Cobb did state the reported boost up top is not accurate. There is no way it pulls that hard at 8 psi at redline

And I've been talking to Terry about a standalone meth failsafe, he's willing to work on creating a standalone FSB to integrate with a flash tune. Kind of pointless now until a stage 2 + meth map comes out.

IMHO, sustain 18 psi to 5500 RPM, gradually taper to 14 psi by redline, 7-8 degrees down low ramping to 16 degrees at redline, and we've got ourselves a meth map I'm just a shadetree tuner though!

I was along for Mysts first run tonite..and all I can say is wow..very smooth..no hicupps whatsoever..just kept pulling and pulling..color me impressed...

I think COBB hit a home run w this..pending the final maps..but if they are anything like the betas its a total win.

That's what I'm doing. My uneducated answer would be if you have a 335i you can get away with it, but on a 135i and 535i with a far more restrictive exhaust, it's not recommended.

I think you can agree this thing is NOT pushing 8 psi at redline

Considering this is a pump gas map, I am extremely impressed. I quite honestly don't miss meth all that much after driving around with this map tonight.

What mods are on your car? Is this stage 2 or stage 2+fmic and of those two, is it the drive, sport, or aggressive map? It pulls nice!

no offense to the OP, and thanks for sharing. but is it just me or does anyone else not get speedo vids? i can't tell the difference, they all look the same. i'd rather see some 1/4 mile times and roll on races. those types of vids are more meaningful to me. still waiting for a vid like that from the stage 2 testers.

i'll be at the track on sept 30 so i'm keeping my fingers crossed that stage 2 is out of beta by then. i'll do a run with stage 1 flash then i'll flash it stage 2 and do a run. i'll probably get some roll on races on the way with my friend's bolted c5 corvette

looking good but seems there is still work to do to get more power. Dont think you can take a car equipped with procede running the same octane. Do you have a vbox with procede/jb4 times you can compaire to?
