CP-E Catted DP
(This isn't a post to start a dp or tune war, just to find a answer)
Out of all the searching I've done, I've only notice people are running and satisfied with their catless version. I want to know is there anyone out there running CP-e catted downpipes and don't mind sharing their experience? Especially if you're running COBB. If so.... 1. Do you get the CEL? 2. Are O2 bungs or DP fix needed? 3. Have the cats died out over time? Thanks in advance! Ordering FMIC and DP soon!

Generally, they wont throw a CEL at first but overtime (uknown) they will.
That likely answers all of your questions at the sametime. (in the end dont bother with catted DP). |

I've had catted cp-e. Great product and the newer versions run cel free longer butin the end, they do have CEL. I ended up getting the bms v3 fix and that solved my cat CEL issue. On the other hand, had no smell or smoke etc with catted and do with catless. The power isn't that different. Ran 112-114mph traps before and catless I'm running 114-116 easily.

I picked up a used set of CPE's catted dps to go with my ETS IC, AMS exhaust, and Cobb AP. Just like the previous posters, they eventually threw a SES. In hindsight, I probably would just go with catless unless you need to pass a visual emissions inspection.

How long before the catted downpipes wear out and give the CEL? I don't really care if I get the CEL as I have JB4 and can just autodelete the code. My concern is with the fact that I live in California and am assuming that when the CEL appears, the catted downpipes are no longer effective and I'd fail a smog check, which I'll have to do in a year or two.
Does anybody have any experience with this? If so, please share which downpipes you've used. Thanks.
