Simota Carbon intake?

Would any one be interested in a group buy for a Simota Carbon intake for the Z4 35i?

It would be based on the version that they do for the 335i -

I have been in conversation with them today and they said that if they had some interest that they would manufacture one and would be in the price area of £500 - £600 uk pounds.

Please add your name if interested....thanks

£600 (USD 960)?? That's a lot compare to how much the Simota V2 for E9X 335 cost...
Does that includes the Simota scoops ?

I would consider buying it if the price was more competitive...

True, on the e90 side of the forum they went for a group buy 1 or 2 years ago for the intake at about 510 usd + 30-40 dollars for the scoops. I will be interested if i knew the final price.

I remember reading that a similar Simota intake actually lost power on the 3 series forum? Unless there are significant gains I don't see the point - BMW spent thousands if not millions in research to develop their N54 intake system so I doubt there will be much gains anyway esp if you are stock.

Update, looking to get the price down for on a group buy.....no final details as of yet, hope to have more info late Sept.

They can not give an exact price due to the cost of drawings and how much CF would to be used, but it is looking that they may be able to sell them for around £500 ish for UK and cos US customers will not have to pay UK vat US prices will be around low £400 UK pounds. These prices will have to be confirmed.

I'll update in the last week of September.........

Been in touch with them today and they are going to get a car in to see what needs to be re-tooled on the parts that don't fit.

When I have more news I'll be in touch soon......
