e90 Was Murdered in Philadelphia

Got my tint done! sorry if you were expecting blood or a tragic story.

Props to 215 Motoring for doing a great job. Will definitely be going back there in the future for all tint work and will recommend them to anyone.

Dot Matrix- I know that is everyone's concern. I think they did a great job considering what they had to work with. I have had three vehicles prior to this and can say this is the best job on the matrix.

I got 5% all around and nothing on the front windshield which is the purple Pilkington one. I personally love the combination. Out the door was $120

Sorry for the cell photos. I will post more angles and up close of the matrix if people request.

Apologies for the large resolution
Enjoy!

I got 5% on all windows but the front windshield. I forgot to mention the car is Sapphire Black Metallic over Terra Dakota Interior. As you can see, the Terra is hiding just the way I wanted it. I think its great when people open the door now and are surprised but such a unique color combo.

He said he did 5% all around. You going to The Tint Shop in Great Neck?

You arent breaking any news. Ive had tint this dark on other vehicles and have been stopped before.

Car customization is just that, every person does what they like that is why its a fun hobby. You will always have people who disagree and that is fine.
I personally like the pitch dark. I was just posting this thread to show others what 5% looks like. Thanks!

In pennsylvania, isn't tint legal? As far as I know it is legal and they have no front plate... aka, I'm eventually going to have to move there

Well it has alwasy been a huge debate online about whether it is legal or not. All specifics aside, it boils down to the cop stopping you. Yes the "law" states that 35% is legal and anything rear of the B pillar could just as well be painted black, The law is super vague. I have driven by cops many times with 5% who couldn't care less.

I hate seeing nice cars in NJ or anywhere with a front plate bolted on. It is horrible and I dont see the benefit to the police. Anyway Yes my tint is "illegal" but I have friends who have gotten tickets for 35%, and other friends and myself getting away with 5% forever.

All depends on the Pork...err cop

70% tint is legal in PA, which I believe is basically what the car comes with stock. 35% is "safe" since most cops won't pull you over for it. I used to have 20% on my previous car and received a ticket for it.

I do love the look of the 5% though

Looks great, I considered trying 215 motoring instead of shades of gray but I was a little leery of 215 at that price and there werent many reviews. Sounds like its worth a try.

I hear they have beef with eachother I assume it is because 215 is low balling the market, but hey the consumer wins right? The job was done very well.
