1)Are the ballasts used in the US models the same as the euro ballasts?

2) I have heard that swapping Euro and US headlamps will result in an error message that needs to be coded out (even if they are equivalent headlamps. ex swapping US non adaptive xenon and Euro non adaptive xenon headlamps)... Is this true???

1) Yes, there is only one type of ballast available at BMW: 63117237647

2) Might be possible, because of the LED-corner lights. As far as i know, these feauture can easily be coded out.
