Radio display pixels beginning to fade

I just had my 330i in for service after the satellite radio, CD player, and bluetooth system failed due to a corroded connection wire under the driver's side carpet. When I returned home from the dealer and pulled into my driveway, I noticed that the display screen for the radio had some pixels that seemed to be fading. Am I looking at another grand for this repair?

The pixels fade on my business CD when its hot outside. I think its a common problem with the early production date e90/e92s.

They will return to normal though.

It was 96 degrees here in Chicago today so you may have a point. My bank account hopes you're correct.

Same thing with my compass (intergrated in a rearview mirror) and it fades when it's very hot inside.

I have had this happen only in extreme cold..never heat..once the car is warmed it would come back normally..Im sure thats an expensive fix if it remains permanent.

Thats interesting, the same thing happened to me today in my dash display. I started the car, and notices it was faded. Then, I got back to my car after shopping for a bit, and it was fine, no problems since.

I have to press down on the the screen on the business cd head unit just to see what track im on, hahahahaha piece of shit.

Same thing happened to me especially on hot days. Dealers had to replaced the whole unit under warranty.

pretty much. I think this happens to a lot of us that has cars sitting in hot weather. our headunits are a disappointment, and mine is actually permanently faded. just another reason to get myself an aftermarket headunit
