Modified CDV or Clutch Stop?

So I ordered a modified CDV and it's been taking a few weeks to ship. In the mean time I came across this...

It's just a little stopper that helps eliminate all of the dead travel in the clutch pedal. I popped it in yesterday (took about 20 seconds) and drove off.

Impressions: shifts have become 100% smoother and WAYY shorter, I can't believe how much wasted time there is doing all of that extended travel with the clutch pedal. Honestly, I can't even feel the effects of the CDV anymore either, so now I'm thinking, do I even need to put the modified CDV on?

I think for the $17 I paid for that little stopper, which I could have easily made for probably less than $5, I really got my money's worth! I haven't really read a lot about these little stoppers and I'm surprised they don't get way more credit for how awesome they are. Anyone using both? and should I even waste my time getting under the car to put the modified CDV in?

HUH?

Because it has nothing to do with the "shifter"...the CDV controls the flow of hydraulic fluid to the clutch pedal, your shifter is connected to linkage that is connected to the transmission, no fluids involved there.

And since the travel of the clutch pedal has been significantly shortened with the stopper, it seems as if the effects of the CDV are not noticeable anymore.

It seems to be...I don't hear or feel anything abnormal. I'm sure there would be some rubbing/grinding if the pressure plate wasn't completely disengaging the flywheel.

I have the same stopper installed as well, lots of folks on the forum do. It does help with the travel to a degree, but the CDV removal will still be felt. A lot of people have done both and got the best of both worlds. The CDV delete is my next move.

Yes you still need to get rid of the CDV.

My car has both the clutch stop and modified CDV, you'll feel the difference

very dramatic difference!

No way im going back to stock clutch stop
