Evolve Stage 1 Tune
Hey everyone was just wandering if any of you have heard of Evolve tuning and seen their product seems pretty promising considering their saying 70hp gains with an at home tune. State your opinions!

Evolves tune for m3 e9X is really really impressive! But I haven't heard of anyone running it on a 335...

Yeah they are very similar to ESS, conservative tune, 330WHP on average, i dont know if as solid as ESS, Same thing rewrites/lowers timing, boost peak around 14/15 PSI. Flash tune

i would not call conservative a tune that runs 14-15 psi on a stock car.

Agreed after reading more about it isn't much power gain for the amount of boost it's running.. But still good to have another option I guess

Thanks for the interest
We've been tuning the 335i for years, in the UK it was our 'crowning glory' for a long time and we just revisited the tune not too long ago to release even more power. Please do a search for us in within e90post, you'll notice on the UK side we have been tuning these vehicles for a very long time. Personally I met the guys at Evolve as they tuned my own 335i, before I decided it was the kind of company I wanted to be part of. Unlike many we are actual tuners, as in, we have our own in-house dyno to develop on. How else can you properly develop? Here's a magazine review from BMWCar: Evolve 335i vs 335d We also have plenty of other magazine articles about us, check them out here: http://www.evolvetuning.us/reviews.html For the power, we extract, on a STOCK car, 70-80whp. I believe that is one of the strongest flashes available. With IC/DP we get over 100. Some graphs to check out: Stage 1 - stock, tune only Stage 3 - DP/IC/Tune Stage 3 - second example Hopefully this goes some way to showing we have quite a bit of experience with the model, having tuned it for a while, but have yet to properly launch our marketing for the N54 - we have quite literally been inundated with E92 M3 and E46 M3 tuning and our carbon fiber product parts to get time to breath. If you need any information just drop me an email at paul@evolveautomotive.com and I'd be happy to answer! |

Although I can't speak from the N54 perspective, I can speak from the S54 and S65. Evolve tuned my E46 M3 awhile back now and they have produced some of the most power out of just a tune compared to other companies. I have been so pleased with my experience with Evolve that I decided to also purchase their Carbon Fiber Airbox and Alpha-N tune. I also got their tune for my E90 M3, but due to time constraints, I have not had the opportunity to actually flash the car just yet.
Evolve seems to be pretty tied with up with tuning tons and tons of E46 and E90 M3s. I can place big bets that their N54 tunes are just as strong. I don't believe there is any other company that offers a DME-flash based tune that you can flash yourself via laptop and even read/clear OBDII errors. Although they're fairly young in the US Market, there's a reason why they are flourishing as quickly as they are right now.

Trust me, if there's one thing that Evolve Automotive is extremely meticulous about it is dyno graphs. These guys are masterminds behind interpreting and operating dynos. That knowledge paired with their humble honesty can only lead to extremely accurate and repeatable dyno results.

Thanks guys for the interest - we realise there are quite a bit of tuner wars going on of which we don't really want to get involved so we keep a low profile
Dark 9T - Yes we do indeed, we can tune for most variations of modifications. It is one of the major advantages of having your own dynamometer. If, on the rare occasion we did come across something, we can dyno tune it together with you remotely, but we have yet to come across anything involving bolt-ons that takes us by surprise |

I've had a stage 1 Evolve tune on my N54 for about 1.5 years now. Great performance and reliability.
I had an unrelated HPFP failure about 6 months in and had to take in back to BMW for a warranty replacement, where the dealer over wrote the ECU tune with OEM uprated firmware. Took it back to Evolve where they re-installed a new tune which now unlocks even more power! (Got dynoed 378hp and 390ftlbs flywheel numbers) I'd highly recommend them... |
