Well, since it's too late to respond, did you pull the trigger?

I didn't think that the drive sedans could have the M sport package.

Sedan or coupe? Money factor is way high and residual is low for 10k/year. Should be 0.00175 and 65% respectively for E90. Selling price is pretty good, but MF and residual are more important on a lease. You should negotiate those down a bit to get a lower monthly. Based on my calculations using the numbers previously mentioned, you should be around $465/mo pre-tax.

First of all, thanks for the advice! Didnt pull the trigger yet, wanted to hear back from some people.

It is an 328 X drive sedan. I agree, I think they are offering a great selling price but just like you mentioned, I was hesitant regarding the monthly price. I was just curious, how or where do you find the most current appropriate MF and Residual Value data from? If I could get them down on both of those, I would def pull the trigger!!!

Any other thoughts!?!?!?! Really want to get this done tomorrow so I would really appreciate the help!

Easy. MFs and residuals are posted here. Those numbers are based on 15k/year, so remember to inflate the residual accordingly. Rates update during the first full week of every month. Then simply plug in your numbers into a lease calculator like this one.

But for right now, I would focus on getting the MF down. That's contributing most to the higher monthly in your proposed deal.

I had one more question, I forgot to mention that we have to order this car as there is not one available as built. Should there be a bigger discount from the MSRP? Or is that only if I decide to do a European Delivery?

So after much pushback, I did get them to come down on the MF to 0.002 but would not budge on the RV of 64%. Here is the new quote:

2011 328i Xdrive
Premium package
Convenience package
M-sport package
-Paddle shifter upgrade
-18" sport wheel package
Value package
Navigation
Harmon Kardon hifi

-MSRP $48,800
-selling price $45,240
-All fees and taxes rolled in to monthly payment: doc fee (75), bank (725), DMV (219), taxes (1844)
-Down payment $4000
-Residual 64%
-MF 0.00200
-Term 36/10k
-monthly $474 (pre tax)

So down payment decreased by $14. Thinking that this may be pretty good, final thoughts? (Think I may owe you a beer sometime for all your help)

MSRP is only reduced with ED. Dealers may be more likely to knock more off MSRP from a car on their lot, but that's not an issue here. You're paying about $750 over invoice, which is good.

Looking pretty good to me. MF is closer to reality and 1% residual won't matter much. You're pretty much right where you should be, I say go for it!

Are you putting multiple security deposits down? It's a WAY better option than putting money down since it will lower your MF and you get the money back at the end.

It reduces the MF, which reduces the monthly payment. It has a similar effect to putting money down in bringing down the monthly payment, but at least you're not giving your money away.

Adjusted Cap Cost

Is the adjusted cap cost simply:

Negotiated price of vehicle + fees - money down = Adjust Cap Cost
