335i vs c63

My buddy has a c63 with a chip and claims that he will destroy me

Is this true?

Can I take him without meth? Or with meth? Or no matter what I'm losing?

If you're FBO and u have meth, there is certainly a chance but you're not smoking anyone especially if he has a tune. Those cars are monsters and have an insanely large powerband.

I took one at the drag strip with JB4 FBO without meth. Beat him twice by 3-4 car lengths. But I have xi so great on launches. On highway I'm sure he can take me.

As everyone mentioned, that'll be a really tall order. The C63 is a lot of engine in a small car...and we're not talking fat guy in a little coat.

a stock C63 traps 113-114, within range for a FBO N54, so I'm not really surprised there. a tuned C63 traps upwards of 118-120 full weight. You'll need FBO, 18-19 psi, 100% meth, COLD weather and a good jump to barely edge one. If the weather's over 70 degrees outside don't even bother, you will lose.

I speak from experience as I've run the C63 in tuned and stock state numerous times.

from number alone, looks like full bolt on meth tuned 335i can definitely edge out a tuned c63. but it has to be maxed out or no chance.

Would be an interesting fight. They are pretty heavy. I say 335i.

C63 tuned + headers and straight pipes vs FBO/ Meth 335i will depend on the driver and how cold it is outside. I give the edge to the 6.2L engine in most conditions.

are you kidding me? C63 tune + headers traps well over 123-124. Good luck handling that on stock turbos FBO+meth.

Please don't refer to those bullshit slips from Sac Raceway by Vishnu/BMS.

I am FBO+meth short the mids/catback and I had a hard enough time with a tune-only C63.

Don't give the OP false hope lol.

Is the stock C63 tune really poor? It seems like they're getting tuned turbo-like gains out of an NA motor.

they are rated for what, 450hp? the e63 which uses the same motor only a different tune, is rated for 500+ hp. The c63's are detuned from the factory it appears.

Not gonna agree with this, it won't really be a competitive run. MHP's C63 which currently hold the American Benz record only has headers, exhaust and tune (i've personally seen it and it is a monster).

Without spray, that car runs an 11.2@125 (which is with the mods you described, but that is only half the story, look at a dyno sheet to see how massive the powerband is) - good luck running against that with an FBO 335i with meth

With spray, let's not even discuss... (10.39 @ 134, that is still almost a second quicker than a sprayed N54)

What's even funnier is that there are some cats down in the diesel forum that believe a tuned 335d is very close to the performance of a C63.
