Coilover height and evenness

Hey guys...

Just bought a new set of ST coilovers and had a quick question. After installing, I found that an evenly matched coilover drop made the rear look lower than the front. Would it be reasonable to drop the fronts lower than the rear to make the car look even or would that mess up the geometry of the suspension and 50/50ish weight distribution? I like the look of an even drop or slightly raked look, but unwilling to do this if it diminishes handling. Let me know. Thanks.

I have mine adjusted so it looks good. I didn't pay any attention to the rear vs front drop amount and my car handles perfectly.

Be aware that if you just installed them, things will settle and drop further within the next few days.

you'll never realize the effect on performance unless you're constantly at the limit and testing at the track... just lower it to your liking and enjoy...

if you're really worried, bring the front and rear down the same measurement so they stay consistent with the stock dynamics...

you would have to bring them down at the same ratio, not measurement.

anyway, i think the front arches are cut larger due to the wheels turning, which is why the rear looks lower.

I see. So I guess the height drop won't effect the weight 50/50 distribution because the springs are just being compressed more?

you need to get it corner balanced man. The heights don't match up exactly when you do that.

Is corner balancing "felt" in daily driving (not at the track)?

To most people, no.
