Need Better Brakes Pads than Hawk HPS

I just put on some centric rotors and Hawk HPS pads but it definitely doesn't feel like OEM, it actually feels a lot worse. I did the bedding in process twice but it still doesn't have that initial "bite" like OEM. I thought I was upgrading with these. Basically im looking to keep the same rotors but upgrade the pads to oem or better, I'm not too concerned about brake dust.. just want that braking power back. Thanks for any suggestions.

Why don't you just get the OEM pads then?

Try stoptech street performance pads. Cheap and OE-like. The do squeak a little. If you want more heat resistance go with Hawk DTC-70. 335 owners have trouble fading them on the track.

The oem bite is not there but stopping distance is the same. Get a friend with a 335 to test and you'll see. If you must have the oem initial bite, go back to oem, most aftermarket pads have a different, gradual feel.

Stoptech Street Performance pads are great for OE replacments and is the same pad used in all of their Sport and Trophy Sport BBK's.

If you are looking for more performance, but is not ready for a track pad, Ferodo DS2500's fills that void very well.

i had that same setup on my previous e90, i liked it alot. you are right there isnt as much initial bite, but the hps hold longer in hard braking. i had multiple 100+ to 20mph slow downs with the exact setup. when these pads heat up they work better, i just bought a 2011 335, and if it were not for warranty i would switch to the hawk hps, but this time i would stick with oem rotors. in my opinion the centric/stoptech product is garbage.
