HKS going out of business!

Tha'ts right. US division is closing. SO that means the stainless steel non-blue flame exhaust is a thing of the past. All I can find are the blue tip premium part #'s in stock. Debating just buying one before I can't.

The AE Performance exhaust system is definitely a quality setup and is a great alternative choice. The AE Performance exhaust has gains of 18 hp and 13 torque. The system itself also weighs 24 lbs lighter than the stock exhaust system.

+1 on AE, great exhaust...however, if I were in the market for an exhaust at this time my vote would go to the cp-E single pipe one that splits with a muffler on the back...40lb savings

HKS IS NOT GOING OUT OF BUSINESS!

Yes, HKS USA will no longer exist, but the parent company, HKS Japan, will run US operations from Japan. Sounds like a dumb strategy to me and they will likely see a reduced market share in the US. However, you will still be able to purchase HKS products through their authorized dealers in the US.

Well if you undertand business dynamics..the fact that they are doing that means that their efforts in the US are not as profitable as they would like and they are re-allocating their resources elsewhere..net result is the same..HKS's market share of the aftermarket in the US is going to be significantly reduced

I just contacted HKS an they said they the stainless tips "should" still be available. There are only 2 official warehouse distributors in the US. They are Promotion Distributing and Motovicity. Those two will probably sell to subdealers, but I don't know who they are.

Yeah, I think the reality is that HKS USA is going out business but the parent company will still exist. The thing is though that I heard about this like a year ago so I don't know why it's just coming to fruition now.

I'm not sure how that's possible because the employees who work there only found out about 4 months ago...

Maybe I overestimated that year lol, but it was definitely a good while back that someone told me this and I thought it would have been done by now.

Doors officially close August 31 at HKS USA here in LA. But again, their products will still be available.

HKS USA is gone, but HKS is not gone. We still have the full line up available. Most products ship out same or next day.

Thanks!

This is a restructuring move perhaps to improve their bottom line and close off non profitable division.
