TopSpeed | M2 Exhaust - Video

Greetings,
I knew getting this exhaust was going to be risky as far as sound goes but with my Amex points I was able to secure it for FREE!!! So what the hell.

Figuring that worst case, if I hate the sound, I would still have a stainless cat back, secondary delete, and about 20+ lbs of weight savings. I could then I source a set of Magnaflow mufflers/tips for a few hundred dollars.

The plan would be to go with the Mr. 5 setup.
The rear mufflers are Magnaflow Part #14336.
The tips are Magnaflow, Part #35125
His sounds like this

ANYWAYS, back to the TopSpeed or M2 unit.

Good
Nice welds and well put together
Install was a snap with everything bolting up without issue.
Car seems to rev a bit quicker

Bad
It is LOUD
Tips are a joke... I mean they look really cheap

Here is a quick video I shot this morning to give everyone an idea what this system sounds like totally cat-less. The system has about 100 miles on it at this point.

Next up will be a video from outside the car. I have had many people tell me it sounds really good from outside but I need some help getting that done. Once I have that I will post back.

Right now I am planning on going to the Magnaflow setup but I will put some more miles on it and see what it sounds like from that standpoint.

Hope this helps someone down the road!

Try to weld some Vibrant 1792 resonators ($90 a pair) on the midpipes and the exhaust will quiet down considerably.

That is an interesting alternative! Do you happen to have any videos that demonstrate the sound?

All depends on where you live, and how much rain/snow you get there.

The pipes are fairly thin walled, and a seasons worth of rain/snow/salt on the road was enough to form major rust, and eventually exhaust leak for my neighbor/friend running this setup on his e90.
But mind you, I am on Canadian west coast aka WET coast!!!! Close to 3 months non stop rain before we saw sun for About a day and then it snowed for 3-4 days, and then back to rain for another month or so...
Best of luck, hope you recieved a better batch

So I went down to good old Mexico to shoot some external video for reference!

I must say, it does sound better from outside the car and you have to love the traction (or lack there of). Tomorrow I will be putting about 400 miles on her so things might get a bit better yet. The Vibrant 1792 resonators are sounding pretty good to me. Thanks TSC!

I know right! I paid all that money to run on their closed corse and they let just about everyone in... Did you see that mini van? Like it was track prepped!!! lol

For sound, it is growing on me. Just a bit to loud down low when your not trying to make noise.
