Upgrade from JB3 to JB4?
So I've been taking time off from the forums, almost a year now. Have no idea what's been going on. I have a JB3 I took out recently for service, and before I put it in I checked and now there is a JB4 apparently. Is it worth it to upgrade?
I don't do any custom mapping, montoring, or any other mods besides the JB. So if I plug and play is it still worth the upgrade? I.e. more hp/tq, more smoothness, throttle responsiveness, etc. Thanks in advance, I've just been gone for so long thought this would be a more efficient way of finding out than reading numerous threads over the past year.

yes.. yes.. upgrade.. can change maps with steering wheel buttons while you drive.. hijack guages (i.e., make gas guage be a turbo guage) , you can read and clear codes (while you drive) ... so much better !!

The upgrade to JB4 is well worth it for sure! The power delivery is better, the extra features are worth it in it's own and the fact that it's the latest BMS tune, it has the attention and frequent upgrades for free.

I had JB3 and moved to JB4. Honestly. JB3 Map 3 was fantastic and powerful, I loved it. JB4 is safer but not as powerful as I use the AutoTune Map 5 the steering wheel controls is fantastic and guage hijacking rocks. Updating maps is a breeze.

Do I need anything special to do this or can I do this after just installing the JB4 into the ECU? I.e. do I need the usb cable or anything like that.

Really everybody with the JB3 should be upgrading as we have made it very affordable and unlike the competition you don't need to buy a whole new tune to have the latest and greatest Mike |
