Hi all,

I have a set of Hybrid Ovations on the way and thanks to this thread I understand they are a PITA to install due to the limited depth but Technic managed it so it is possible.

I am away at the moment so I don't have access to my car but I was wondering if any one new the distance between the mounting holes on the back of the door card and the size of the cut out for the speaker.

Due to the depth of the speaker I understand that you have to move the speaker into the OEM grill so my plan was to get two sets of these trim one down to the size of the speaker cut out and glue it to another one to move the speaker forward.

I just need to make sure that the external diameter of the ring is enough to reach the screw holes.

I have the stock rings in my garage and a set of bolt up micro precisons, I can measure those rings. I'll be home in a few hours

i started the ruler centered on the hole at the 2" mark...
2011 E92 drop in exact fit.
