Replacing Faded Gloss (chrome) Window Trim
Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction...
I have an alpine white 07 335i with tinted windows. The gloss trim that surrounds the windows and the sill are fadded and have many sun spots. Would anyone know the best way to replace this, final resort ordering the parts from the dealer, and if it is a tough job installing? Also any reccomendations on whether to stick with gloss (grill is gloss) or switch to black to go with the tint? Thanks |

Its a pain in the ass to install....highly recommend going to the dealer and try getting them to do it if its still under warranty or extended warranty, I did this with mine when I got it and it was still under the 50k warranty. You should have them either painted or covered in vinyl-way cheaper and a whole lot easier.
Search this topic....there are literally thousands of threads on this my good man!! |

Gloss black vinyl, definitely. Replacing the trim, as mentioned above, is a real pain and $$$.
