The Itch...WAS SCRATCHED!!! E92 335!!!
…And Scratching never felt so good!!!
As you may remember from my thread last week, I was looking to get out of my 2006 E90 330i, which had 10 months remaining on the lease and into an E92 335. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the E90, but always regretted not getting the sport package and it always bothered me that when I bought the car, it was off the lot and had 180 miles on it. So, it finally got the best of me last week and I began to explore getting an E92 335. BMW of Manhattan, where I got the E90 had a wait until August. I then hit about 10 dealers in the tri-state area and everybody said the same thing. So I then hit the internet and the phones and found 2 cars, one in Maryland and one in Illinois with colors and options that I founded “acceptable”, but not ideal. Both would sell for MSRP, no less and each had 50-60 miles on them. I didn’t want to make the same mistake twice, so I pretty much dropped idea. Meanwhile, because I had such a good deal on the E90, I posted an ad on craigslist to see who wanted to assume my lease. I had about 10 responses in 24 hours and a girl came last night, drove it and called in her app into BMW FS today. Now I was stuck with the prospect of no car… Then I got a call this morning from the dealer my father used for his E90. I had spoken to them a few days ago and they said they could probably get me a car in August. Today, the manager called me back and said he realized that one of his preferenced cars was going to be a demo for one of the guys working in service. He said he’d sell it to me but he was guessing he probably only had a couple more hours until the car went from Status 112 to status 150. BINGO. He expects the car the be built next week and we should see it by the end of May. That’s not bad. So I just place my order and did my paperwork. Here is what I got: >E92 335 >JET BLACK >SADDLE >PREMIUM >SPORT >NAVI >COMFORT ACCESS >SAT RADIO >STEPTRONIC >PADDLES MRSP $50545 SALES PRICE $49500 I am doing a 24 month lease and with the buy rate, I am paying $725. I ordered ten minutes ago and the wait is already killing me!!! |

Congrats bro!!
At the risk of sounding like one of those people who say things like this... Get the iPod/USB option! It is a must have, especially with iDrive! You'll have cowbell at your fingertips any time you want!!

Great story. Congrats! I'm sure your e90 found a good home. I also regret not getting the sports package. I'll likely buy some used 162's one of these days.

Nice... It's good to know people who know people. It's how I got my E92 in a Month. I couldn't be happier... even if he is a little bit Disco.
Sounds like a good combination.

Congrats. Looks like your E92 335i might be with my E90 335i on the same vessel. My production end date is scheduled for April 25 and hopefully, it will arrive by the end of next month.
Btw, since it's already in production, I don't think that you can add the Ipod accessory, I tried and my CA said that it was too late. |
