Help with xenons

Did a search and couldn't really find many direct answers to this particular situation but........ I just did the halogen to xenon conversion. Apparently the person I got the headlights from had their wheel turned to the right, so when the headlight was removed, the passenger ballast was pointing to the right. Now the lights shine all up on the right side of the road.

I don't have the adaptive feature on my car, but was wondering if it was possible to adjust the bulb left and right. I know the one screw on top adjusts it up and down.

Is it possible to unplug the cord that goes to the headlight and attach it to someone else's passenger side headlight with the adaptive feature in order to straighten it out? I'm guessing it needs to be done electronically. Maybe I'm wrong.

Any feedback would help. It's not terribly noticeable, but now that I'm aware of it, I can't stop thinking about it. Thanks!

Sounds like it's possible but why would just ONE light be aiming right? Doesn't make sense to take off the driver side, then turn on the car, turn right, then take off passenger side.

well inside the headlight there are 2 motors, one for up and down, one for side to side. if you take the back cover of the headlight off you most likely push the headlight so that it points straight.

The motors are not that strong so you can probalby do this by hand.

Basically inside the headlight the xenon and halogen bulbs ( and their housings) sit on one plate. That plate is attached to a swivel point and then the up/down motor and side/side motor mount to the plate as well. So overall there are 3 ( maybe 4, i cant remember) points of contact for the direction of the bulbs to the entire housing of the headlight.

I hope this makes sense!

i'm staring to know too much about these headlights

Thanks Mark. I'm hoping the motor doesn't give off too much, if any, resistance. I don't want to snap off anything from the inside and end up completely screwed.

I could always unplug the driver side if I did this.
