Go to Edmunds.com and Kbb.com, plug in your car's info and see what they come up with. Then go the BMW's website and see what used cars with your milage and equipment are listed for. That way when the insurance tells you what they plan on giving you you can tell if it is fair or you need to fight them. Good luck and keep us posted.

Yep, depends on the insurance company, but most people I have talked to that had this problem ended up having more money then if they sold it privately. You should get your fair value. I believe most insurance companies use KBB and since your car is so new, I would push for the excellent category.

With the extra power of the 335i, maybe he will clear the canal and land on the other side...Dukes of Hazzard style.

Dude, WTF? You are the same ecgtplayer who blew the stop sign and drove into the canal, right? How did your English suddenly get so good? Its like a different person now... did you get a translator? Or were you sandbagging earlier to get a different legal outcome? I don't get it. |

In CT, insurance co's average out 3 book values. CT requires them to use redbook and nada, the 3rd book is their choice. It's probably similar where you are.

get ready to negotiate. figure out what your car is worth by using sites like nadaguides.com and kbb.com.
i had to deal with farmers in the late 90's when my toyota truck got totalled. they totally low balled me on the first offer. if you're not happy with the offer, do not accept the check and keep negotiating.

Yeah, this is exactly what you need. Maybe you can catch some more air in the next one.
