Stock 16's to 18's

I am looking at OEM 18" for my 328. I do have standard suspension with RF tires. If I do 18"s with non-RF's what kind of differences should I expect? (steering/handling/ride wise)

When I upgraded my rims for my previous car, I went from 17s directly to 19s. Personally I would suggest 19s for your car as they do look a bit more aggressive. Also by going from rft to non-rft you will see a bit softer ride depending on the tires that your getting. Non-RFT also perform better compared to RFTs.

Oh, and a bit of a personal choice, check out the Avant Garde M359 wheels. They are the new ZCP style wheels from BMW. I would go with these since they are OEM style.

Non runflats have better ride that RFT. The grip is also more consistent over poor road surfaces. There is also less tram-lining, or unwanted steering feedback when driving over ruts or joins in the road.

18" has a lot of advantages over 19", but most people go for 19" because of the looks.

I have upgraded my wife's car from 16" to 18" non-RFTs.

She loves the way it looks, rides and handles. There is an increase in steering effort, but not enought to make her want to change back.

Improvement in ride isn't much of a difference because she had the 16" Conti run-flats, which aren't anywhere near as harsh as the RFT Bridgestones. She now has the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo in 18".

Tramlining is a result of the individual tire. Again, the Conti's don't have an issue so there is no real change in that either.
