Tint + Rear sunshade = overkill??
I'm finalizing some options prior to pulling the trigger and I was thinking about the choice of the power rear sunshade. Do you think this is something I should skip if I plan on tinting it out regardless? Anyone see any additional benefits of having it?

I was going to get the sunshade option but decided against it after the dealer said the Window tint can be applied to the front side windows where the shades do not.

I guess it depends on how dark of a tint you're going to put on. I had tint on my 528 which also had the rear sunshade, and I found it an excellent option to have. Even with tint, the sun (at least down here in SWFL) is VERY intense and still heats up the car quite a bit. It's also a welcome option when you have large SUV's or trucks behind you at night - hit the button and their blinding lights become diffused.

I have 2 young children, having the shades plus tint is great for for them on very bright days.

I got tint + shades, it looks great
It allows you to customize the light entering the rear windows as you like

i have both the rear sun shade and tint on my car.
my tint is Formula 1 Pinnacle (ceramic) 35 (%), which is pretty light. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52268 Here in SouthernCali, the sun gets pretty intense, so I use the Rear Shade mostly when I have the car parked in the sun to keep the interior (black leather) a liitle cooler. The other times are when I need some extra privacy... cough cough. I havent used it at night when driving because its already pretty dark with the auto dimming rear mirror and the tint.

Thanks for all the feedback guys... looks like my decision has been made on that front. I am also in So Cal. Where are you at? I am actually debating between TiAG and SG on the outside, but I'm looking at the same interior. Going to put an order in soon.

Me three. I have light tint all around and wanted the option of pulling up the rear shade when I parked in the sun or when the rear lights on a car at night is too bright...etc. Glad I have it.

I have the sunshades on my 330i sedan and I can not believe how much I use them. I am so happy I got them. I got them because I have a 1 year old but I use it all the time when driving the car alone.
