Driver side read view mirror keeps changing settings, common?

I've noticed it a few times, but today it was way obvious. I get in my 335 e92 and the driver side mirror is pretty much Pointing downward. Before I thought it had just been the angle I was sitting in my seat, but this time it was quite obvious it was the mirror, anyone else experience this or know what could be causing it? I don't mess with the memory settings, I use the same key, don't have convenience package. I even had the switch set over to passenger side

Could be your wife. I would plug in the diagnostics and check her for error codes.

I had the same problem. The wires that connect to the mirror are corroded and it not getting a good signal from the ecu. Take it to the dealer, they will replace the motor and connectors.

When you took it in did they just take your word for it and replace it? Or did they take it apart see the corrosion then replace it? I'm still under 4yr/50k warranty so I'm sure it'll be easier to get replaced

Or, like my E91, the mirror is afflicted with terminal CRS and will need to be replaced - hopefully you are under warranty.

It's a common problem. I had it too; it would reset itself when I would lock/unlock the doors or hit the memory settings. See if you can duplicate it but the dealer should cover it if you're under warranty.

I have a problem with my driver's RVM changing whenever I activate the folding mirrors. When I unfold the mirrors the driver's side is always messed up and I have to re-adjust it. PITA.

I have the same problem with my passenger side mirror. Every morning when I get in my car I always look to see it pointing at the ground or up in the sky. I've even seen it drifting up as I was driving down the freeway. I'm taking it to the dealer... eventually.
