HELP!
I had a road trip today and it was raining like crazy today! Anyways...when I was at a traffic going 5-10 mph, i hit a huge pot hole that felt like it hit the metal hard! The hole was totally hidden since it was pretty much flooding everywhere in NJ. Then at the next stop light I heard some loose metal from undercariage....I have just installed the Eisenmann Racing exhaust with the SR pipes....would it be the exhaust? I know it's hard to tell without looking at my car from underneathe but I was wondering if the exhaust sticks out under the car (suseptible to damage from pot holes)? I am planning to take it into the dealership but am afraid they'll blame my exhaust and wont fix it for me? What are my options?

Grab the flashlight out of the glovebox, crawl underneath and look.

problem - they will blame your exhaust - and they would know that you have fiddled with it even if you switch it back out (if that's even possible anyway)
BMW tends to do that, they blame whatever mods you put on so they dont have to fix it for free. If you can switch back your old exhaust, I recommend you doing so. I had a volvo S40 and I ran over a huge branch (tree), they fixed it for me no questions asked, however... you changed the exhaust... good luck |
