USB not working in the armrest
hi all,
my USB connection in the arm rest all of a sudden is not getting picked up by the stereo. It seems to still have power going to it b/c when I plug in a iphone or ipod, the device goes into the "dock" mode. I also took the usb key out and plugged to a computer and it reads fine. anyone else have this issue before and what was the fix? I have a appointment at the dealer, but its ALL the way out on Aug 9th. when I dropped by the dealer they wouldn't take it in the shop to have a look and made me make a appointment. Thanks in advance. |

Just got back from the dealer... according to the service advisor I have a bad or missing MULF??? module. He said he wasn't sure what the tech said it was either bad or missing? Like it wasn't installed at the factory? Find that hard to believe, either way they ordered one and I'll have to make another trip back there. Last edited by cdgatti; 07-29-2011 at 05:47 PM.. Thanks for the update....I'm still waiting for the Aug 9th appointment...DRAGGING on forever! I really miss having a 16gig stick full of music. 700mb of a "CD" is just not enough!

E90 LCI (2011) Nav Business usb not working
Hi, I came across your thread and I would like to inform you that I have the same problem. My car has a usb connector in the glove box but it only gives power to the usb stick. There is no option in the nav screen. Is it possible to make it function. I am waiting for an answer from the dealer too. Any help is welcomed.

Well just got the car back from the dealer. They installed a new ULF-SBX high module, whatever that is. They put the old one through some communications tests which it failed, thus qualifying me for a replacement. Mine came off a lease and it looks like this feature was just never used, probably never worked from the beginning. All I had before was the Aux input in the radio, which didn't actually work either, now I have USB and better yet a little ipod logo shows up when I plug the ipod in. The interface and the music quality is very good, but I don't have much to compare to, never had a car with this feature!

Mine stopped working 3weeks ago not completely. It charges my iPhone, and plays part of a song then it goes back to radio mode...? Anyone have an idea.? It's really pissing me off now. I have my AUX that works but I have to control it with my iPhone (don't want to get pulled over for distracted driving). USB stick plays then stops like the iPhone cable.

I just picked up a '11 335d, on the way home (5hrdrive) I was listening to my iPod and after about 1.5 hrs of listening it just loses communication? Is my module going bad?

Kind of the same situation here, car gives power to phone and USB (with a little light on it) but fails to detect it in the radio unit (BMW Professional Radio)
