steering wheel shake (help)
Okay so I picked up my CPO 335i yesterday and as I was driving on the interstate I noticed that between 40mph and 60mph that the steering wheels shakes quite a bit. I did a little research and I can assume that this problem is caused by either bent wheels, unbalanced wheels, or the car may need an alignment. Any ideas on what it could be?

I had the same issue in the past. Have your wheels rotated from front to back to eliminate that possibility. If problem persists, then have your tires road forced to check for a bent rim. If all else fails, check your suspension.

Careful, sport 335i wheels are staggered - can't rotate front to back.

Did you try balancing the wheels?

It's more than likely an out of balance tire, one of the fronts, since it's in the steering wheel. It's unlikely that they drove it that fast for the pre-sale delivery inspection. I would call and setup an apt. with the dealer. They'll probably balance your tires. A crappy tire (run-flat or regular), warped rotor, bad ball-joint can also cause that. My $ is on the balancing....
