windshield washer fluid running out

owned this BMW CPO for 1 week and had the little indicator for washer fluid pop up. fill the reservoir and went off...thought cool all set. hour later found the indicator back on. filled again indicator off then next day indicator back on. looked under teh car and it had leaked out in my garage.

Anyone else have this issue?

Taking it in tomorrow to the above looked at as well as steering wheel off to right checked out and have my sirius sat presets fixed.......

please let this be it for a little while

2008 335xi with 22k on it. first BMW and just love the darn thing. despite the above issues I am very very happy to be in the club

do a search, there are quiet a few threads with washer fluid leak, common issue, since your car is CPO'd, you are under warranty, take it back to the dealer, just need to replace a grommet.

Just had this happen to me. It was the washer fluid pump. The BMW SA told me they often see leaks in the pump casing, not the fittings. Dealer replaced under warranty.

"you cant fix your own sirius presets? too lazy?"

no never been acuse of laziness...

I am a bit intimidated by this car. Worried I may screw it up.... My dealer is 1.5 hrs away and with a busy practice I dont have time to run down and have them fix the electronics and fuse box after I make a rookie mistake.

Once I get more comfortable with her I wil begin to play DIY tech.

I'm pretty sure CPO does NOT cover hoses except those in the AC system.

I thought the new car warranty is only valid for the original owner. After it becomes CPO, the CPO warranty takes over.

I maybe wrong.

^^this. usually with CPO it ends up being time rather than mileage with the factory warranty. But it is absolutely transferrable even on CPO car. My 08 E90 had 29K on it and has till 5/12 on the factory warranty. then the CPO kicks in until 2014.

My bad. Good to know. I've had my car since new so I never had to deal with transferring warranties etc.

wow video would be awesome. I am sure other people could use it as well. But please don't burn up a lot of your time to do...

This is a great forum. Thanks to all.

I am at dealer now. they had delivered the car a week ago to me in the sticks of NH. I noticed a small crack in the wood grain plastic console. Just mentioned it and they said no problem fixing. So far so good with the service.
